About

After spending years consulting for nonprofits, corporations and governments in the US and Europe, I got pretty burned out. In 2017 I began volunteering at the San Diego Botanic Garden, and knew I had found "my people."  I went on to obtain a Permaculture Design Certificate in 2018 and continue to study herbalism and native plants with Sage Country Herbs in the Pauma Valley, focusing on ethnobotanical herbalism. I currently advise Pando Populus in Los Angeles, which provides a central hub of programs connecting students, colleges, faith-based communities and civic leaders to address LA's Sustainability Plan, and serve on the Board of the Berry Good Foundation in San Diego which addresses food security and education initiatives in the bioregion of San Diego and Baja California. I come from a long line of California contractors and builders. I grew up with a well that went dry. My design approach marries playfulness with practicality.

I love to talk about green things and the intersection of regenerative economics, communities and homes.  I can speak about the systems thinking and connecting the dots between our living and built worlds.
